Lanzarote – Journey to the Moon
It is the beginning of December and the temperature in Slovakia is below freezing point. How about cooling off in the ocean on the islands of eternal spring? We decided to visit one of the Canary Islands - Lanzarote. We combined two Ryanair flights - Brussels, Brussels - Lanzarote and hoped that nothing would happen during the transfer. The trip was successful and the lunar landscape of Lanzarote left a deep impression on us.
Sardinia – The Pearl of the Mediterranean
Not for nothing is it called the pearl of the Mediterranean. And when Ryanair starts flying there, it's a perfect combination for a low-cost trip in a beautiful setting. Yes, we're talking about the gorgeous Sardinia. After Sicily, it is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Our extended trip headed to the town of Alghero in the northwest of the island.
Mallorca – A proper party and a bit of swimming
What would you say to boarding a plane on Friday evening, starting with a night swim, continuing with a full day of swimming in the sea, sunbathing under a straw umbrella, a mega party in the busiest disco at night, a morning tour of Palma and then back on a plane to Slovakia? Unrealistic? All it takes is one well-planned weekend :)
Bari – Italian temperament on the beach
The new Ryanair destination came with a special offer right at the beginning, tickets for €6. Initially booked for 6 people, but our number ended up reduced to 4 and added another 5 people: one couple and a group of three led by a friend. It was the largest trip so far and a new experience with synchronizing such a big group.
Cancun – Relax on white beaches of the azure Caribbean
For some people, Mexico means tequila, for others a group of musicians with sombreros, or a tropical paradise where we can discover traces of the lost Mayan civilization, or just relax on the white beaches of the azure Caribbean. Currently, Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula is the most famous holiday destination.
Budapest – Sights and Nightlife
Budapest lured us in for a second time. Once again, we opted for a string of sightseeing and nightlife, why not, you only live once. This time we didn't have to worry about accommodation, as our super friend Szisza took us in :)
Budapest – Monuments everywhere
A trip to Budapest for less than 10€? The answer is yes, you just need to know the regular bus line of Student Agency. Sightseeing and nightlife, that's the perfect combination for a weekend spent in the capital of Hungary.
Brussels – Only here have we experienced beer of all flavors
Two weeks after London, another great flight deal came up, this time from Ryanair. Brussels for 5€. Originally booked for 9 people, but our group ended up being reduced to 7. Still, it was a lot of fun :) We tasted excellent Belgian beer Kriek and amazing chocolates. We experienced a bit of a new culture, but mainly we relaxed well.
London – Mind the gap
It was one of the last superactions of SkyEurope, and a year later they went bankrupt. It was July 2008 and tickets could be booked from 29Sk more than half a year in advance. So we decided to visit the largest city in the European Union - London - in March. The tickets cost us 63Sk + one piece of luggage 450Sk. A month before the departure, they adjusted the departure time from evening to morning, which shortened our stay by one day :(
Milan – Two days in the fashion city
Our first encounter with Ryanair. We don't even know how, but suddenly we had €0 tickets in our hands :) So for a few euros, we spent less than 24 hours in beautiful Milan. We had authentic Italian pizza, got to know the stunning Duomo cathedral, strolled through fashion streets with brands like D&G, Chanel, Gucci, Dior, and Versace. We visited the Castello Sforzesco castle, relaxed in a park in beautiful weather, and finally took the metro to the station.
